Tis' the Season

So it has been a while since i have done an update of what has been going on so I thought I could blog about my first Christmas as a newlywed. It was strange for the first time having to split times with families and not participate in everything we each wanted to. but it still was wonderful and i was so happy to be able to spend such a special time with my favorite person in the world! It started with a ton of activities building up to Christmas with building the ice rink at Brett's to curling with the Ralph's, to Mikki getting home from her mission etc. Me and Ando have had a ton of fun spending time with our families this season and lucky for us the season keeps going as we get to go to the cabin and spend time with the Pavans this weekend and thru the new year! We had nativities we did with both families and got to show each other some of our traditions. On my side we did the nativity, curling, ice rink, fish pond and started a new one with the grandkids and everyone sleeping at my moms the weekend before Christmas and with Pavans we did the nativity, sweater party (only Andin got to attend because I had an alumni game), Christmas Eve sleepover, sibling/in-law gift exchange. We had a blast and it was fun to learn new traditions that we will carry out in our new family once it grows! This year we both got really spoiled to I got Andin a set of golf clubs (Nike Victory Reds) and Andin got me some sorel boots some military boots and a beautiful Nixon watch. From my mom I got an outfit and Andin got an Oregon sweater that I think he hasn't taken off since getting it! haha. We love our presents and are excited to get use out of them! I was super impressed too because Andin picked out all my stuff without me giving him any ideas! What a champ I have! And this week at the cabin I am going to give snowboarding another chance! I have hated it in the past and it has been super frustrating for sure but Andin says he will take the time with me so I can maybe enjoy it and learn a little better (basically I hate sucking at something and so its no fun for me!) haha Ill let you know if i change my mind once I'm done! Here are some pics of what we have been up to!

Wedding Day-Finally!

So now that I have gotten my wedding pictures back I thought I could finally blog about my wedding day! Man what a day that it was! Aug 25, 2012! For starters your tired going into the day with work and getting everything finalized, but the excitement of it makes it hard to sleep! My day started around 5:45 when I got up to get my make up done! Ariel came over super early and did it for me (what a saint) we had a couple experiences that made the morning super eventful but nothing I can share on the blog! haha So after my make up was done I rushed to Jade's and down to her salon to get my hair all done! It was so much fun having her and AJ doing it and seeing it all come together was so exciting! I finally felt like I was maybe gonna be a bride! After that I rushed home and jumped in the car with my mom to head to the temple. We got there with just enough time and I was so anxious all morning! It was fun to get to spend those last hours with my mom before everything for the day got hectic and crazy we just got to relax and talk about the important things happening this day!

So we pulled up to the temple and while getting my dress and temple stuff I am standing outside the car and what do you know Andin pulls up with his dad at the same time! I dunno why but it put me into a panic! haha I didn't know how everything worked and when he would see me the first time so I ran in! Haha silly mistake because when I got inside I just sat down and waited for him to get there! Once seated we met the couple who were to marry us-the Bohne's. Which was super cool because my dad had worked for George in the school and we knew their family well and believe it or not we didn't even request it! What an awesome coincidence. So after speaking with them me and Andin went in a little room and signed our forms and verified we had all our information correct! From there we went on in the temple to be sealed for time and all eternity! To be honest I loved the calmness and reverence that it came with after being so busy and tired and stressed it calmed us right down and made us really reflect that we were making a huge step in our eternal lives as well being sealed in the temple! We had the full sealing room packed with mainly just family and a few close friends! It was such an awesome experience seeing your family all there supporting you and showing how proud they are!

After the sealing we went back down to get in our suit and wedding dress! I was in the bridal room with my mom and Jade putting my dress on and fixing my hair and such and I was so excited to go out and see the rest of the people that were there to support me! I walked down the hall and boom saw Andin! He was looking quite handsome might I add! He had just now seen me for the first time in my dress and looked just as happy as I could have only dreamed! He grabbed my hand and gave me a kiss and we started walking out to greet everyone outside the temple! We walked out and everyone began cheering and what did I do... started crying! Anyone who knows me though knows I get super emotional with things like this! Then after hugs and stuff from the family the picture madness began (as you will soon see only a portion of the pictures taken) Then from there we went back to Raymond for the Family Dinner/Reception! The family dinner was awesome and the toasts were amazing! I loved getting to hear all the things Andin, my dad and Andin's parents had to say about us! We also had a darling story to music done but Britnee and Alix! and Dustin did a great job mc'ing while Ariel's video of us rocked! Then after the family dinner and the toasts we went straight into the reception and standing in the lineup-which wasn't near as bad as I had heard it would be! It was steady and went super quick (to quick for those of you that know me) haha then decorations started coming down and I tossed the bouquet and we cut the cake! It was so much fun having all the people there for it and made it such a blast! then it was time to get out of my dress and get ready to drive to Calgary! I was dreading the long drive because I was so exhausted and I even nodded off a couple of times in the car! It felt like the drive took forever and both of us were beat! Then from Calgary we were off to Cabo and were so excited it was going to be the break we needed. Sorry for another long post just wanted to get it all written down!
